Safari pricing

There are many options to choose from when planning your safari depending on the type of accommodations you prefer.  I offer three (3)  categories of accommodations:

Basic/Budget  –  This is Public and special canvas tented camp Average Price estimate $200-$250 per person per day

Mid Range – Wildlife Lodge & Tented Lodge visit Link: https://rhino.co.tz/. Average Price estimate $350-$450 per person per day.

Luxury – Serena Hotels & Sopa Lodges visit Link: www.serenahotels.com and www.sopalodges.com. Average Price estimate $550-up per person per day.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BOOKING YOUR SAFARI

• The prices vary according to the time of year you decide to travel, the type of accommodations you choose. as well as, the fluctuating value of the US Dollar. These estimates will include your hotels accommodation, three meals,(B, L, D), Park fees,Safari truck, and transfers from airport to your hotel and back to airport on your departure date. I recommend you schedule your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (KJO).  It is about 1-1/2 hours from Arusha.  The tips for your safari guides and porters are not included. All of our safari’s begin in Arusha.  Therefore, you should plan of staying your first and last nights in Arusha.  The safari’s are very tiring and you should plan on staying at least one night at the end of your safari in a nice hotel in Arusha before boarding a long plane trip home.  I will be happy to book your hotel reservations  and airport transfers at the time of booking your safari. I have several very nice hotels we work with in Arusha.
• Under our tab “Safari Options” you will find a list of some of some of the lodges we book with to make your safari experience the best of your lifetime.  We have chosen these to give you an idea of the diversity of the different areas and lodges and their pricing structures, where available.   Should you want to book at a specific lodge, not listed,  please let our safari planner know during your planning stage.   It is impossible to guarantee your stay at a specific lodge due to the number of available rooms and the fact that the individual lodges refuse to guarantee a room until the payment is received.  We will, however, make every effort to meet your wishes.  Prior to booking, if one or more of your choices are not available for the dates you have chosen, we will advise you and get your permission to book with a comparable lodge.
• Your Safari Guides and Porters.   The estimated prices listed do not include the tips for your safari guide and porters.  These people work solely from tips.  You are free to tip what you feel the trip has been worth, but generally speaking, the guides receive a minimum of $40-$50 per day per vehicle paid directly to your guide at the end of your safari.  Gratuities will also be expected to be paid at the individual lodges for services rendered.  Although the prices above reflect full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner) drinks other than tea and coffee are not included.
• The lowest price would be Basic (camping)  This involves camping within the individual parks with your safari guide, a porter, and a personal cook.  All meals will be prepared over open campfire and you will be actually staying in canvas tents provided by our company.  These types of safari’s generally cost between $150-$250 per person per day, depending on the type of year you plan your safari.  This price would include all camping equipment, your park fees, and transport.

Example Itineraries

There are additional “add-ons” which can be added to your safari which include visits to a Masaai Village, Visits to the Bushman, Night Safaris (where allowed), archeological dig site, and more.  Please speak to your safari professional should you wish to visit any of these other outstanding attractions.  The fees for these side trips are usually charged by the vehicle for a nominal fee.
