On this tour, you will enjoy a short 2 Days wildlife and photographic experience. The two parks are relatively close to Arusha town and offer excellent wildlife and safari activities such as guided Forest walks and game drives. At Tarangire, you will have a chance to see large herds of Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Cheetah, Hyena, Leopard, Wild dog, Eland, Thomson, grants, impala, gazelle, zebra, waterbuck, bushbuck, warthog, python etc. Arusha National Park will offers the blue monkeys and colorful turacos and trogons – the only place on the northern safari circuit where the acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen.The park has large herds of buffalo, warthog, elephants, Giraffes, leopards and spotted hyenas.
Day 1: Arusha National Park
After breakfast you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel east to the Arusha National Park. This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (40 km). Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4566m), the notably different colored Momela Lakes, and the 3 km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago!
We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do a morning and afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Wildlife which could be seen include African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena. Late afternoon we depart for Arusha where we will end our safari adventure.
Late afternoon you will drive to Tarangire National Park for overnight at a lodge or camp.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at your lodge / camp at Tarangire, we will start a morning game viewing safari in the park. Tarangire River and the swamps in the park act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The park Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. The park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.
1300 Hours: Lunch will be served at the Lodge/ camp followed by some rest time.
At 1500 Hours: Enjoy another game drive in the park. Look for Tree-climbing pythons, Elephants in large herds of close to 600, wildebeests, zebras, elands, hartebeests, buffaloes and Oryx’s etc. The park is also home to 550 bird species.
Late evening you will go back to your camp / lodge for overnight.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park for game drive until afternoon where you will drive to Ngorongoro Highlands for overnight.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro and descend to the Crater floor for gamedrive, You will ascend to the rim in the afternoon ready for the drive back to Arusha.
